Origin

According to a Legend, A Carpenter named ‘Ichharam Pragii’ was visited by a saint during his illness. Irrespective of his health condition, Ichharam Pragii extended a warm hospitality. Pleased by his act, the saint taught Pragii the art of polishing with Lacquer and thus began the unique craft of Lacquerware at Sankheda.

The craft displays the hard work and creativity of the Artisans of the land. The craft is discrete and make a connection to the history and culture of the region and the people. Over the years the merchandise is evolved into contemporary subjects. The products are vast and vivid which includes Swings, Dining Tables, Decorative items,  decorative stands and boxes.
