Thanjavur Art Plate Cherished for about 250 years, the Art plate is a co-operative effort of three Experts, 1)Preparation of the Base plate (Brass) by a Metal worker, 2)Embossing of Motifs on Copper and Silver Sheet by a Jewel maker and 3)the final stage of encrusting the sheet onto the base plate is done by a Diamond setter.
