Ghazipur Pure Jute Handmade Wall Hanging
Gazipur wall hanging is one of the famous wall hanging artwork across India and other countries. It is known for its vivid designs. This artwork, as the name implies, is practiced and manufactured in the district of Gazipur, Uttar Pradesh, India and it has been half a decade since it has started. Close to sixty villages in the district are into making of this beautiful craft. Its patterns primarily include God, Deities, landscape, and nature.
This craft is completely handmade and is a blend of jute yarn and other yarns of different colours and strength.
The production involved vast steps which starts with the bleaching of the base yarn which is jute. Subsequently, the yarns are dyed by following the old, traditional technique. This is followed by weaving to get the desired patterns. It is done using pit-looms. If needed, the artwork is supplemented with embroidery and patchwork, which depends on the creativity of the Artisan. Beet is fixed on either end of the wall art to make the product steady and stable.
Finally, this craft is completely eco friendly. It is a cent percent handmade product. The craftsman utilizes handmade fibers and yarns. The use of the design graph paper which is again handmade, adds on to its uniqueness. This art is therefore distinctive and special for its naturalistic appeal and simple yet stylistic presentation and designs.
