Sringeri Sharada Mysore Painting After the Post disintegration of the great Vijayanagar empire in the 16th century, it is believed that one set of artists headed towards Tamilnadu and few towards Mysore Province. The Wodeyar king, Raja Wadiyar (1578 - 1617 A. D) of Mysore encouraged the Artisans and thus began a new Era of Paintings in the history of Mysore.
