Kasuti Embroidery Origin Kasuti embroidery, originated in the Present Dharwad district of Karnataka under the patronage of the Chalukya Dynasty during 7th Century. Kavirajamarga(ಕವಿರಾಜಮಾರ್ಗ) (850 C. ), the earliest available work on rhetoric, poetics and grammar in the Kannada language mentions of Kasuti embroidery. 17th-Century Mysore Kingdom Influence: Kasuti, gained prominence during 17th century within the royal courts of the Mysore Kingdom.
