Srikalahasthi Pen Kalamkari Kalamkari originally known as Vraathapani blossomed in the environs of Srikalahasti temple, one the main pilgrimage center located in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, 39kms from Tirupati. Though the Craft form itself is about 3000 years old, dating back to Indian and Persian trade origins during Indus Valley, the craft from in present form at Srikalahasti is around 200 years old.
