Santiniketan Leather Craft Origin Santiniketan Leather Goods were first produced in Bichitra Studio, a place of making crafts at Santiniketan in 1932 under the guidance of Rabindranath Tagore’s son, Rathindranath & his wife Protima Devi. The production and manufacture of Santiniketan Leather Goods was subsequently developed by stalwarts like Nandalal Bose, Suren Kar & Ramkinkar Beji with their innovative ideas and designs.
