Bababudangiri Arabica Coffee:

In 17th Century, a Muhammadan Pilgrim named Baba Budan on his way back from Mecca brings back 7 coffee Beans and plants them near his hut on the high mountain Range (Bababudan Giri) of Chikmagalur, Karnataka.

Wayanaad Robusta Coffee:

Just like Chikmagalur, Wayanad also grows Arabica and Robusta beans and a major portion of the District is covered by coffee. Wayanad Robusta Coffee has a very unique aroma and flavor with a hint of chocolate and no bitterness. Wayanad Robusta is known as one of the best Robusta coffee varieties in India. This South Indian Coffee is most suitable for blending with Arabica coffee and used for preparing filter and espresso coffee.

NOTE: Arabica Beans Grown at Baba Budangiri Mountain Range has been Conferred with the Prestigious GI Tag in the Year 2019 as 335th GI Tagged Product of India and Wayanad Robusta Coffee has been conferrd with GI Tag in the year 2019 as 332 GI Tagged Product of India.
